Make a travel journal with your kids

Photos disappear into your phone, but a travel journal you pick up again years later. It doesn’t have to be pretty or long — a drawing and one sentence a day is enough. Here’s how to make one with your kids that they actually want to keep up.

How to make it

1. Grab a simple notebook — or print a few blank pages. Let your child decorate the cover so it’s instantly theirs.
2. One page per day — keep it small: a drawing and one sentence. That’s plenty.
3. Collect keepsakes along the way — a ticket, a flower, a coaster, a sticker from the destination.
4. Ask every evening: what was the best part of today? — that answer is the sentence for the journal.
